When I started with Lucas, I was ​cautious in the gym due to joint ​problems and lacked confidence in ​the gym.


My goal was to get stronger for ​netball, as I often couldn’t hold my ​own against opponents. Lucas always ​provided support and helped me ​regain confidence training.


Lucas broke down our sessions to be ​specific to help build strength of a ​joint (e.g. the knee) before moving ​into something more complex. I was ​able to learn more about what ​exercises i could do in the gym to ​build more strength and stability.

I had a gym membership for ages but ​when I decided to be more serious ​about my fitness goals I started ​working with Lucas. I was tired of ​being fat and wanted to perform ​better at netball.


The gym was scary before and I am ​not good at motivating myself to go. ​Lucas pushed me to work harder and ​also just made me stop being stupid ​about people being around and just ​get down to business.

When I decided to start personal training with Lucas I was expecting a boof headed weight driven ​instructor who would drive me into the ground and I would not really enjoy.


Instead I found a coach with a gentle approach and an unruffled attitude who was able to push me into ​achieving more and more each session. As a newbie to the gym, Lucas has always been patient and encouraging when explaining unfamiliar ​exercises and equipment, along with how best to maximise benefit and correct form to avoid injury.


In the year I’ve been training with him, Lucas has been able to create a customised plan to meet changing ​goals and needs; originally starting with rebuilding core strength to help with lower back pain, to weight ​loss, and then to building strength and maintaining fitness through pregnancy.
